About the Role:

Cargo Express Freight is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Operations Specialist – Transportation to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. This is your opportunity to play a key role in keeping freight moving efficiently while working alongside a passionate team in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily freight transportation operations to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers to manage shipment status and resolve issues
Monitor load tracking systems and update shipment records in the TMS (Transportation Management System)
Assist in dispatching and routing of drivers and freight loads
Identify and resolve operational delays, disruptions, or exceptions in real time
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Collaborate with internal teams including sales, billing, and customer service to support seamless operations

Requirements:

1–3 years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics operations
Familiarity with TMS platforms, load boards, and freight tracking tools
Strong knowledge of carrier networks, LTL/FTL shipping, and supply chain processes
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred
